The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire has urged Nigerians, particularly Muslims to imbibe and put into practice the virtues of the just ended Ramadan fasting to elevate the country to a greater height.
Princess Orelope-Adefulire gave this advice during her Eid-l-Fitri message to Muslims in particular and Nigerians in general on the successful ending of the annual Ramadan fasting.
“Ramadan teaches peace, love, perseverance, kindness, neighborliness and spiritual rebirth. All these are needed in rebuilding our nation, hence there is need for us all to imbibe and put into practice all these virtues as we strive to take the country to greater heights,” she said.
According to the member of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), Lagos highest decision-making body, there is need for concerted efforts by all to join hands with government to actualize the renewed hope mantra of the incoming President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu which is anchored on consolidating on the superlative achievements of the Muhammad Buhari administration.
“The Muhammadu Buhari administration has performed superlatively and the Renewed Hope aspiration of the incoming administration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be build solidly on the Buhari foundation to birth a renewed Nigeria bustling with development and growth.
“The government at all levels need the support and cooperation of all Nigerians hence the need for us to imbibe and put into practice the virtues of Ramadan as a stepping stone to achieving our aspiration.
“I want to assure you that the All Progressives Congress (APC) at all levels will not disappoint you but of course the government need your support at all time.
“On behalf of my family, I wish you all a happy Eid-il-Fitr celebration and I pray that we celebrate more of it on earth,” the Presidential Aide said.
