No fewer than nine clubs have so far qualified for the Copa del Rey round of 16 following the conclusion of Saturday, 4 January, 2025 round of 32 fixtures.
Barcelona advanced to the round of 16 of the Copa del Rey after thrashing UD Barbastro 4-0 on Saturday, 4 January, 2025.
Goals from Eric García, Robert Lewandowski (2), and Pablo Torre gave Barcelona the victory over Barbastro.
Also, Captain Antoine Griezmann gave Atletico Madrid a 1-0 win at third-tier Marbella on Saturday, 4 January, 2025.
The victory sends Atletico into Copa del Rey round of 16 with a 13th consecutive victory across all competitions.
Already qualified for the round of 16, alongside with Barcelona and Atletico, are: Osasuna, Real Betis, Rayo, Getafe, Pontevedra, Almería and Athletic Club.
Some of the remaining round of 32 fixtures will take place today, Sunday, 5 January, 2025.
Elche will face Las Palmas while Ourense will tackle Valladolid, among other fixtures.
