As at the time of writing this report this morning, Friday, 22 March, 2024, nine Nigerian boxers have qualified for the final of their various weight categories.
Among the nine qualifiers were six female boxers and three male boxers.
Those who have qualified for the final in their various weight categories are: Adesina Zainab, Ojo Nene, Patricia Mbata, Shukura Kareem, Ogunsemilore Cynthia and Oraekwe Blessing, all females.
The three male boxers who have qualified for the final are: Omole Dolapo, Adams Olaore and Ifeanyi Onyekwere.
The final bouts are expected to be decided today, Friday, 22 March, 2024.
The worst scenario is Nigeria is assured of at least nine silver medals from boxing while the best scenario is for Nigeria to win nine gold medals from their nine championship bouts.
