Remo Stars have forfeited three points and three goals following the assault on match referee, Ndubuisi Ukah during their Nigeria Premier Football League match day 12 encounter against Gombe United last weekend.
The club will also pay a fine of ₦1.25m while their general manager has been suspended from all Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) activities.
The fine is expected to be paid within seven working days.
Remo Stars is expected to accept the ruling of the IMC or elect to appear before a Disciplinary Panel.
The IMC also sanctioned Remo Stars for their failure to provide adequate security for the match officials.
The Sky Blue team was also penalised by the Interim Management Committee (IMC) for disrupting the match.
The encounter at the Remo Stars Stadium was abandoned at half-time after the match officials refused to come out of the dressing room citing assault from the home fans as a reason for their action.
The game which ended in a 0-0 draw was concluded on morning of Monday, 3, April, 2023.
