French D’Arkema outfit, Nantes have announced the signing of Super Falcons forward, Chinaza Uchendu.
Uchendu joined the Canaries from Turkish League Champions, Galatasaray.
The 26-year-old struggled for regular playing time at Galatasaray last season making just five league appearances.
The striker is, however, looking forward to a successful spell in France.
“I am happy to join the FC Nantes club. I will discover this championship, which I know almost nothing about,” she told the club’s official website.
“But this is not the first time I have come to France. I took part in the World Cup in 2019 (Nigeria was eliminated by Germany in the round of 16). I remember the crowd. I had never played in front of so many people before. I had faced big names. I am super excited at the idea of meeting this crowd again, the fans, of creating new memories.”
Uchendu, started her European adventure with Portuguese club Braga in 2018, has also played in Sweden for Linkoping FC and South Korean side Gyeongju.
