This is certainly good news for Team Nigeria at the ongoing 2024 Olympic Games as the trio of Ese Brume, Ruth Usoro and Prestina Ochonogor qualified for the women’s long jump final.
It’s the first time three Nigerian will be competing in the final of the women long jump event at the Olympics.
The trio will battle nine other athletes for medals in the final.
Brume leapt to an automatic qualifying mark of 6.76m to book her spot in the final.
Usoro qualified with a mark of 6.68m, while Oconogor claimed her spot with 6.65m.
The final of the event will take place on Wednesday, 7 August, 2024.
