Super Falcons head coach, Randy Waldrum has disclosed that better preparation could have helped his side at the 2024 Olympic Games.
The former African champions failed to make it beyond the group stage in the women’s football event losing all three games.
The Super Falcons spent two weeks in Sevilla, Spain before the start of the competition.
The West Africans also lost 1-0 to Canada in their only friendly before the Olympics.
Waldrum said things would have been different for his side if they had spend more time in camp.
“We prepared for them [all three opponents] based on the fact that we haven’t had a lot of time,” the American was quoted by ESPN.
“We missed the last window before the Olympics and so we missed 10 days of good training before the Olympics.”
