Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, has disclosed that Nigeria international Victor Osimhen has refused to reduce his salary amid interest from Chelsea.
Romano, who made this disclosure in a tweet on his X account on the evening of Monday , 5 August, 2024, said Chelsea are still exploring options with Napoli to sign Osimhen this summer.
He added that Napoli also want Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku, as Osimhen is expected to leave the Serie A club.
“No changes so far on Victor Osimhen deal for Chelsea,” Romano tweeted.
“Chelsea explore talks with Napoli; Napoli want Lukaku; Osimhen will NOT reduce his salary + he’s not open to straight loan/open buy option right now.
“He’s still expected to leave Napoli, but no concrete changes yet,” Romano said.
